Note

Lafayette catalog number 88 (1947), p. 103. QST, Mar 1947, p. 125. Allied catalog 1948 page 162. Lafayette catalog number 89, p 170. Operates CW and NFBM (phase modulated) on all bands. Two band operation from one coil set. 40 and 20 meter coil provided. Includes a built-in VFO or crystal control. Plugging in a crystal overrides the VFO. The "VXF" control can be used to pull the crystal frequency to some extent--from about 30 kHz at 80 meters, to 480 kHz at six meters. Sonar referred to this saying the the VFX will "rubberize" any crystal cut. Includes a front panel monitor output jack for both CW and NBFM output. External relay control provided for remote operation. CW and break-in operation permitted on the same frequency without shutting off the oscillator. Use with any crystal or dynamic mic with an output between –48 and –52 db. Deviation indicator is a "magic eye" tube. Front panel is gray enamel with red and white lettering. Tubes: Eight including VR and rectifier. The VFO operates 1565 to 2000 kHz Coverage: 80 trhough 6 meters Output: 4 to 6 watts on all bands except six meters. Power: 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz
