International Communications Systems, Inc. built the Amcomm line of amateur VHF equipment. The S-225 was an 8OO-channel synthesized 2 meter FM transceiver. The transmitter used a solid-state hybrid power module and its output was adjustable from 1-25 watts. The S-225 covered 144-148 MHz and offered simplex operation in addition to ± 600 kHz and ± 1 MHz splits.
