General Notes

Note

Wired only. Walter Ashe catalog 1963 (issued in 1962), p. 14. QST, Jun 1963, p. 137. Ameco catalog #5, 1967 Model CHT will convert any single frequency or band of frequencies between 108 MC. and 174 MC. down to the broadcast band or any other IF output. It is crystal-controlled and has a 0.5 uV sensitivity. Model CHT is transistorized and uses an internal battery or can be operated from a car battery with the Ameco BS-9 adapter. It will work into any broadcast band radio, including pocket transistorized sets. It can therefore be used for mobile or fixed operation. A switch allows the radio to operate normally or with the converter. Model CHT-2 is the same as Model CHT except that it contains two crystals and an extra switch position. Model CHT-2 can therefore receive any two single frequencies or bands in the 108 to 174 Mc. range. The two frequencies or bands must be less than 4 MHz apart. Specify input and output frequencies.
