Ameco referred to the R-5 with the anachronistic term "all wave." The R-5 was completely solid-state and covered 0.54-54 MHz in five bands. It had an internal AC supply but could also operate from batteries. The R-5 had electrical band spread, an adjustable BFO, and a noise limiter.
