The 621 VHF transmitter ran 60 watts CW and plate modulated AM on 6 and 2 meters. It used seven tubes and included a built-in dummy load. A front panel switch selected five crystal positions or VFO operation. Amplidyne made a model 261 VFO and a model 221 plug-in unit to put the transmitter on 220 MHz.
