(chart and a few details) QST, Nov 1977, p. 105. 210 – 80–10 Meters 215 – 160–10 Meters With optional AR-117 AC console ($129.00). The 21OX followed Atlas design practice by using a doubly balanced mixer, and no RF amp, in the receiver's front end. Its VFO tuned a different range for each band. The transceiver lacked RIT and the CW mode was mostly an afterthought. Power input was 200 watts. The 21OX offered full coverage of 80-15 meters and a 1 MHz segment of 10. The 215X covered the 160 through 15 meter bands but was otherwise identical. The VOX circuit was housed in the lower section of the AC console. The DD-6 dot-matrix digital frequency display read to 100Hz. The 21OX or 215X was $649.00; VOX $45; DD-6 $199.00. After the end of 21OX/215X production and the appearance of the 350XL, Atlas made a 215X "Limited Edition" model until existing parts for the discontinued models ran out. It was given some cosmetic changes and an RIT control was added. Power was increased to 250 watts input. Unlike earlier 215X models, this one covered 80-10 meters. Some Limited Edition models carried the 21 OX/LE tag; $810.00.
