Barker & Williamson's model 370 receiving adapter delivered selectable sideband SSB or AM as well as single-signal CW reception with its 17-20kHz toroidal IF filter. It resembled the selectable sideband adapters from the 1940s, before the advent of amateur SSB activity, more than it did the side-band adapters of the 1950s. The 370 could be used with a receiver having an IF of 450 to 500 kHz. Its Gating control provided vernier tuning of the adapter's passband.
