General Notes

Note

The HP-1175 and PS-1175 are identical general purpose 12-volt, 10 amp power supplies. The model number was changed from HP to PS after Hewlett Packard objected to the use of the HP nomenclature. The color of the cabinet changed from green to blue. Heath recommended the power supply specifically for use with its VHF transceivers, small VHF amplifiers, and HF QRP rigs. It will, for example, comfortably run the HW-202, 2036 or 7401 two-meter transceivers and the HA-202 two-meter amplifier simultaneously. Both the primary and output sides are fused. Output voltage: 13.8 VDC regulated (internally adjustable from about 12 to 15.5 V volts) Maximum output current: 10 amps, intermittent (10 minutes maximum); 5 amps continuous Load regulation: better than 1.0% @ 10 amps Ripple: better than 0.5% @ 10 amps Solid State: diodes: (1) 1N4002; (1) 20 amp, 300 volt bridge rectifier transistors: (1) 40411, (1) TPI31, (1) 2N3643 integrated circuit: UA78MGT4C Photos, general information and specifications from "Heathkit: A Guide to the Amateur Radio Products," by Chuck Penson, WA7ZZE.
