MODEL UTL-A
SHIPPING WEIGHT ¼ LBS.
The UTL-A is a refinement of the original UTL model. The difference in the UTL-A is that it uses a leaf spring mechanism to replace the two paddle pivots.
The un-based UTL-A is designed to be mounted in electronic keyers, portable equipment, etc. It is completely assembled. Only two wires need to be attached to solder lugs of the contact assemblies. Tapped holes in the bottom and front of the frame are provided for base or panel mounting. Independent dot and dash levers are chrome plated. 11/64 inch silver contacts in these levers face a 1/4 inch silver contact on the center post of the frame. The only contact adjustment necessary is the spacing to suit the operator. Spring tension is adjustable. No pivots are used. The circuits from the contact points to the solder lugs are solid and complete.
• No lost motion or drag due to loose or tight pivots.
• Complete solid circuit from contact points to terminal strip.
• Only two adjustments, contact spacing and spring tension.
• Reduced contact bounce due to suspension at levers.
• Closer contact spacing.
• Paddle spacing may be changed by moving one or both paddles from the inside of the levers to the outside.
• Better feel.
