This was a "new products" announcement. No actual advertising for the Codetyper was seen until July 1971, in Electronics World. In the 1965 announcement the price was 299.50, but in the 1971 ad the price stated (without batteries) was $160. The ad ran only once. It is not known if any Codetypers were ever actually sold.
