Note
QST, Jun 1932, p. 95.
June 1932 issue of Radio News, Silver wrote and article on a new receiver he called the 727. In this same article he referred back to an article he wrote two months earlier (In the March and April issues of Radio Craft) about a receiver he called the 727SW. Yet In the March and April 1932 issues of Radio Craft, Silver refers to this receiver the 727, and makes reference to a receiver called the 727SW as having been released "last June" that is, June 1931.
Confused? Me too.
The essential distinction is that the 727SW is an "all wave" receiver, while the 727 is not. The receiver described here is the one Silver referred to in his June 1932 Radio News article.
