The Clegg 22’er was a popular 2-meter (144 MHz) VHF transceiver introduced in the mid-1960s. It was designed primarily for AM (Amplitude Modulation), which was the dominant mode for VHF mobile and base station operations before the widespread shift to FM and repeaters in the 1970s.
Clegg released three distinct versions of this radio as technology evolved:
The Original 22’er (1964)
The 22’er MK II (1969)
The 22’er Mk III (1972)
