The Interceptor was the companion piece to Clegg's Zeus 6 and 2 meter transmitter. It had low-noise nuvistor RF stages and was designed to minimize cross modulation. A crystal lattice filter in the Interceptor's 10.7 MHz IF provided selectivity.
