73, Sep 1968, p. 84. The Clegg VEEFO is an all-solid-state Variable Frequency Oscillator (VFO) designed for VHF amateur radio applications. While engineered specifically to integrate with Clegg's 22'er and 66'er units, it was also built to work with other popular 2-meter and 6-meter transceivers, transmitters, or exciters. Features & Specifications – Tuning Range & Band Coverage: Operates across a 12 to 13 MHz fundamental tuning range, providing coverage for the 50–52 MHz, 144–148 MHz, and 220–225 MHz amateur bands. – Oscillator Circuitry: Employs a Field-Effect Transistor (FET) oscillator paired with an isolation amplifier to achieve stable performance. – Power Supply: Features a fully self-contained, regulated internal power supply. – Dial & Controls: Equipped with a vernier tuning dial offering 10 kHz readability, as well as a dedicated SPOT switch. – Interface & Cabling: Comes complete with a crystal holder plug integrated with a toroidal matching transformer and coaxial cabling.
