The 32V-1 incorporated a PTO, band-switching transmitter, speech amplifier, power amplifier, modulator, and power supply in a tabletop cabinet. Power input to the 4D32 final was 150 watts CW, 120 watts phone on the 80-10 meter bands. The output circuit was a pi-network.
In 1949, the transmitter was superseded by the 32V-2. Differences included TVI measures such as improved shielding, both coarse and fine loading controlled by a single front-panel knob, an L-section added to the V-1's pi-net output, a coaxial connector on the rear panel, and a $100.00 price increase; $475.00.
The 32V-3 continued the company's TVI campaign, with alterations of the 32V-2 design. The new transmitter was installed in a lidless cabinet having different style ventilation holes. An additional shield for the RF section was added to that already present in the 32V-2, and bypassing was improved for external connections. The CW sidetone and muting circuits were eliminated. $775.00.
