Note
The R-3050 is a high-performance, multi-mode VLF-HF receiver designed for both local and remote operation. Manufactured by Cubic Communications, it is housed in a 19-inch rack-mount chassis and features individually shielded internal module assemblies.
The unit can be operated manually via a 20-button front-panel keypad and a manual adjustment knob, or remotely using an IEEE-488 or serial control bus.
A front-panel LED display provides real-time information on frequency, mode, bandwidth, and AGC settings. A light-bar meter is included to indicate signal strength, audio level, or relative frequency.
The receiver can detect and demodulate a wide variety of signals, including AM, CW, USB, LSB, FM, and ISB. FSK signals can also be demodulated as single-sideband suppressed carrier or true FM signals.
Audio is provided through a 600-ohm balanced line, an internal speaker, or front-panel headphone jacks. Additionally, the first IF (40.455 MHz) and second IF (455 kHz) outputs are available on the rear panel for external analysis.
