Denrton called this a "monitor tuner" because it integrates an RF monitoring system directly into the antenna tuner housing.
Specifically, it features a built-in RF power meter and SWR bridge with a front-panel meter selector switch that continuously "monitors" both forward and reflected power. This allowed operators to track power output and tune their antenna matches on the fly without needing a separate standalone inline wattmeter.
(Note: Dentron also sold the exact same underlying tuner circuit without the built-in monitoring meter under the name the "Super Super Tuner").
–Power Rating: Built to handle high-power station setups up to 3 kW (well in excess of the legal limit).
–Frequency Coverage: Designed for operation across the HF spectrum from 160 through 10 meters.
– Uses a custom tuning coil selected to operate well within its maximum rating. It includes an internal balun for balanced feedlines.
–RF Power & SWR Meter: Features a built-in RF power meter on the front panel that reads both forward and reflected power via a selector switch for quick tuning.
–Antenna Selector Switch: Equipped with an easily accessible front-panel switch allowing selection between multiple rear connections:
Coax
Balanced line
Random wire
–Multi-Antenna Setup: Allows up to three separate antennas (or two antennas and a dummy load) to remain connected simultaneously without needing to manually disconnect feedlines.
