General Notes

Note

Drake 2A QST, Dec 1959, p. 163. Allied Radio catalog 1961 (copyright 1960), p. 395. The 2-A was triple-conversion, used 10 tubes, and tuned 3.5-30 MHz in twelve 600 kHz segments. Seven of these were dedicated to the 80 through 10 meter ham bands. The remainder could be set for other 600 kHz ranges within the receiver's coverage limits by inserting appropriate crystals. The 2-A offered 2.4 and 4.8 kHz selectivity. It had a product detector and passband-tuning sideband selection. References Review: QST, Jul 1960, p. 43.
