Note
The AA-22 was a bilateral amplifier: it acted as a pre-amp on receive and a power amplifier on transmit. It used a dual-gate FET pre-amp and had automatic solid-state TR switching. The 3-stage RF amp had a power output of 25 watts when driven by .5-1 watt. It covered 144-148 MHz and its power transistors were protected against high SWR ($149.95, 1 972). Drake's AA-1 0 was a single stage, solid-state 2 meter amp that provided 10 dB gain for 1 ·-2 watt rigs. It had no receive pre-amp ($49.95, 1 972). (1)
