The T-4(B) Receiter was a receiver-controlled exciter. It was Drake's T-4X transmitter minus the PTO, designed to transceive with the R-4 receiver. It used a pair of 6JB6 tubes in the final and ran 200 watts PEP input on SSB. Input on CW was 180 watts, 50 watts on AM.
The T-4B was Drake’s T-XB transmitter without the PTO. It was designed to transceive with R-4A or R-4B receivers, or use crystal control.
Input power was 200 watts.
