TR-4Cw (now with RIT) ⚠️ Note: A listing for the TR-4B in the Allied Radio catalog for 1969. p.203, is an error. There is no model TR-4B. The progression was from the TR-4 directly the the TR-4C. The big upgrade to the TR-4C was the dual-concentric dial mechanism. The TR-4 uses the original 4-Line single-disc VFO dial with a heavy fluted tuning knob and a calibrated skirt marked in 1 kHz increments. The TR-4C replaced this layout with the C-Line One disc indicates 0 to 100 kHz while the second disc tracks the 100 kHz segment, giving a clearer readout across all bands. The noise blanker was still optional. Drake also boosted the audio output, and began to use fully enclosed relays. In most other respects it is the same as the TR-4. ⚠️ Note that V5 was changed from a 12BA6 in the TR-4, to a 6BZ6 in the TR-4C.
