The EC-8 is a 8-position rotary controller designed to manage antenna switches, such as the DX Engineering RR8A series, or any other devices utilizing a 12 to 24 VDC 1-of-8 control format. Housed in a durable stainless steel chassis, this unit provides a centralized point for manual remote switching in radio station environments.
Features a stainless steel housing and non-skid feet for stability. Equipped with an On-Off toggle switch, a green power indicator LED, and a large 8-position rotary selection knob.
Includes an internal automatic resettable fuse to protect against overcurrent. Built-in filter capacitors on each control line help minimize interference.
Can operate on standard +12 VDC station power or up to 24 VDC for specific high-voltage switching applications.

Control Cable Recommendations
For optimal performance over distance, the following copper wire gauges are suggested based on cable run length:
24 AWG:** Up to 1,000 feet
22 AWG:** Up to 1,500 feet
20 AWG:** Up to 2,000 feet
Note: DX Engineering recommends using DXE-CW9S shielded 9-conductor cable, which provides eight switch positions plus a common ground.
