General Notes

Note

QST, Sep 1936, p. 6. Lafayette catalog number 69, p. 98. Superheterodyne. Includes a "magic eye" signal strength indicator. The white pointer is the main tuning indicator and rotates 180 degrees with one end of the pointer used for the top half of the scale, and the other for the bottom half. The red pointer is used with a logging scale (the outer most scale) and rotates with the white pointer, but at a higher rate, and thus covers 360 degrees. This effectively provides greater resolution, making the re-tuning of a previously found station easier. Note that this same tuning scheme is used in the 5-T. Coverage: 540 kHz to 18 MHz Built-in speaker BFO Vernier tuning Power: 120 VAC Tubes: (1) 80, (1) 6B6, (1) 6G5 eye, (1) 75, (1) 6F7. (1) 6A7, (1) 6D6
