General Notes

Note

The FlexRadio FLEX-6400 and FLEX-6400M transceivers utilize direct sampling transceiver technology. They are designed to offer an economical option for the general HF/6m operator while still delivering stellar performance for contesting and chasing DX. Both models feature game-changing band awareness, industry-leading phase noise performance, brick wall filters, and legendary audio performance. Differences Between the 6400 and 6400M The primary difference between the two models is the physical interface and how the operator interacts with the radio. The FLEX-6400 is designed as a "headless" unit for the ham who wants to operate the radio entirely from a PC, laptop, Mac, iOS client, or Maestro™. You can operate it locally or remotely, but it requires an external device to interface with the radio. The FLEX-6400M, on the other hand, operates as a standalone unit with no PC required. It includes a stunning 8-inch 1920x1200 IPS WUXGA touchscreen display and wide-spaced, single-function ergonomic controls. While it still allows for the same remote client access as the base model, it provides a high-performance SDR built into a traditional radio interface format. Features – Up to two independent band/mode receivers. – Up to two 7MHz spectrum displays. – 115dB RMDR (Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range). – Ultra low phase noise and no noise fatigue. – Full break-in QSK CW. – No complex setup required; a single Ethernet cable allows digital mode software to interoperate with the radio. – Operate anywhere using SmartLink® technology with a PC, Mac, Maestro, iPad, or iPhone. Specifications – Frequency Coverage: 30 kHz-54 MHz – Transmitter Output (160m-6m): 1-100W (25W AM) – Modes Supported… SSB, CW, Digital, RTTY, AM, FM, SAM, FreeDV (Note: RTTY and digital modes use 3rd party software over DAX) – Spectrum/Waterfall Bandwidth: 5 kHz to 7MHz – Frequency Stability: 0.5ppm (TCXO) – Internal Display (6400M): 8-inch, 1920x1200 resolution – External Display Connection (6400): 1920x1200 via Display Port Power Supply Requirements: 25A, +13.8V DC nominal +/- 15%
