Note
The FLEX-6700 is the high-end model of the FlexRadio Systems 6000 Signature Series. As a direct sampling software-defined transceiver, it is designed for maximum performance, versatility, and flexibility.
The transceiver is a highly integrated software-defined radio that utilizes the SmartSDR for Windows software. Unlike traditional gear, it performs analog-to-digital conversion as close to the antenna as possible to eliminate many analog components that can cause drift or noise. It features two identical major receiver channels known as Signal Capture Units (SCUs), allowing for independent antenna reception and high versatility across multiple bands.
Features
– Dual Signal Capture Units (SCUs): Allows for optimum reception on two different bands with separate antennas simultaneously.
– Massive Slice Capacity: Supports up to eight independent "Slice Receivers" and eight parallel panadapter/waterfall displays.
– High-Speed Processing: Features a Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA and an ADC that runs at 245 million samples per second (Msps).
– Broad Frequency Coverage: In addition to HF and 6 meters, it includes a 2-meter (VHF) support segment.
– Advanced Filtering: Includes switchable ham band preselector filters to prevent out-of-band interference.
– Diversity Reception: The dual SCUs enable advanced configurations like diversity reception and fast QSK.
