Originally just called the model HT. (QST, Aug 1938, p. 1) Lafayette catalog number 73, p. 105. (with a reference to HT-2) Lafayette catalog number 78, p. 149. Hallicrafters' entry into the amateur transmitter market was rated at 100 watts out CW, 50 watts phone with an RK-47 final.
