Hallicrafters' phasing-type sideband transmit-ter matched their SX-117 receiver and the pair could transceive when hooked together with the appropriate cables. SSB and CW input on 80-10 meters was 200 watts, 50 watts on AM. The HT-44's Automatic Amplified Level Control gave greater talk power with up to 12 dB of speech compression.
Designed to match the SX-117 and HT-45.
