The S-1 Skyrider was introduced in 1933, beginning Hallicrafters' long amateur product line. Both the metal tag on its front panel and magazine ads noted that the receiver was manufactured by the Silver-Marshall Company. The five-tube, four-band Skyrider had a tuned RF stage and a regenerative detector. It covered 1.5 to 22 MHz and included a built-in speaker.
Note that the model number and Skyrider name do not appear on the front panel.
