Note
The S-3 Skyrider followed closely on the heels of the S-1 (an S-1 variant carried the S-2 designation) and was similar electrically to the basic circuitry of its predecessor. Uses tuned radio frequency regenerative operation. It added a fifth band to include the standard broadcast band in its coverage. Also new to the S-3 were band-spread tuning and a send-receive switch. Gone was the Silver-Marshall nameplate. The name Skyrider appeared on the band-spread dial.
