They are all the same except for the frequency coverage of the so-called "X" band. The S-4 covered 1.3-21 MHz in three bands. The S-5 added a fourth range to cover the standard broadcast band. The S-6 was part of the original Super Skyrider series and differed from the S-4 and S-5 in frequency coverage. Its four bands tuned from 1.3-21 MHz, and 28-30 MHz. The "SX" nomenclature is used to denote the inclusion of the crystal filter.
