The SR-34 provided coverage of both the 6 and 2 meter bands on AM and CW. With its built-in, three-way power supply, the transceiver could operate from 115 VAC, 6 VDC, and 12 VDC. Cross-band operation was possible. Power output from the crystal-controlled transmitter was 6 to 7-1/2 watts on 2 meters, 7 to 10 watts on 6 meters.
