The 120 was the first of Hammarlund's HQ series. Its basic appearance and circuit features would be repeated in many of the company's post-war receivers. The twin dials carried main tuning and electrical band-spread scales. It had a regulated power supply and a noise limiter, and a variable-bandwidth crystal filter was offered as an option. The 12-tube set tuned from 0.54 to 31 MHz.
