The HX-500 used 60 kHz L/C filters in its side-band generator. Other modes were CW, AM, FM, and FSK. It used a pair of 6146s for 100 watts output on 80-10 meters. AM output was reduced to 25 watts. It had a built-in antenna relay and a fixed 50 ohm pi-net output.
