Chicago's Howard Radio Company billed itself as the "America's oldest radio manufacturer," and made radios for a number of different companies. In the 1930s and early 1940s it sold a line of communication receivers under the Howard name. The model 430 used 6 tubes and tuned from 540 kHz to 40 MHz. The half circle dial on the left is the band indicator. The half circle on the right is the band spread.
