Note
The Icom IC-7600 is a high-performance HF/50 MHz transceiver designed with a double-conversion superheterodyne system and dual 32-bit floating-point DSP units. It is the successor to the IC-756PROIII, incorporating technology derived from the flagship IC-7800 and IC-7700 models to achieve a +30dBm third-order intercept point (IP3) and a 104dB receiver dynamic range.
Key Features
– Dual DSP Architecture: Utilizes two separate 32-bit Texas Instruments DSP chips—one dedicated to the transmitter/receiver and the other to the high-resolution real-time spectrum scope.
– High-Resolution Spectrum Scope: Features a dedicated DSP for fast, accurate sweep speeds and high resolution, including center and fixed frequency modes.
– Built-in Digital Modes: Includes a built-in Baudot RTTY and PSK31 modulator/demodulator, allowing for operation by simply connecting a USB keyboard.
– Advanced Filtering: Three built-in first IF (roofing) filters (3 kHz, 6 kHz, and – Large Color Display: A 5.8-inch WQVGA TFT display provides an ultra-wide viewing angle and uses a long-life LED backlight.
– Digital Twin PBT: Allows electronic narrowing of the IF passband by moving the IF frequencies to eliminate interference.
– USB Connectivity: Dual USB ports (front and rear) support PC control, digital audio, and external keyboard or flash drive connections.
– Dual AGC Loops: Managed by the DSP to prevent strong adjacent signals from "pumping" the AGC, ensuring maximum dynamic range.
