Note
The IC-28(A)(H) is a compact 144MHz VHF FM mobile transceiver. It is smaller than many conventional automobile broadcast receivers yet provides a powerful 25 watts (A version) and 45 watts (H version) output and includes an internal speaker. The unit features a simplified front panel design for ease of use while driving, complemented by a highly visible LCD readout with a wide viewing angle.
Key Features
– High Output Power: Delivers up to 45W of output on the 2-meter band.
– Automatic Dimmer Circuit: A built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the display backlighting based on ambient light conditions to reduce eye fatigue.
– Large Memory Capacity: Includes 21 fully programmable memory channels.
– Dual Scanning Functions: Supports both Frequency Scan (entire band) and Memory Scan (all memory channels).
– Subaudible Tone Encoder: Standard on the U.S.A. version with 38 different tones to ensure maximum repeater access.
– Optional Squelch Units: Supports the UT-28 Digital Code Squelch (offering 100,000 code numbers) or the UT-29 Tone Squelch unit for crowded band conditions.
