Note
The IC-471(A)(H) is the UHF version of the IC-271(A)( H). It supports FM, USB, LSB, and CW modes, and features an advanced CPU-controlled PLL synthesizer and a unique no-backlash rotary encoder for precise tuning. The radio is capable of local FM calls, long-distance DX, satellite work, and even specialized modes like moonbounce (EME).
Replaced by the IC-475 series.
Key Features
– Dual VFOs & 32 Memories: Includes two separate VFOs that can be used for independent or split-frequency duplex operation. Its 32 memory channels store frequency, mode, and duplex settings.
– Multi-Purpose Scanning: Supports Program Scan between set frequencies, Memory Scan for monitoring stored channels, and Mode-Selective Scan to only monitor specific modes.
– Advanced Tuning System: Features a large 50mm tuning knob with a 7-digit vacuum florescent display that provides accurate 100Hz readouts.
– Operational Versatility: Equipped with an effective Noise Blanker for reducing pulse noise, a VOX circuit for hands-free operation, and a Dial Lock for mobile use.
– High Performance Receiver: Incorporates FETs in the RF amplifier and first mixer to ensure excellent sensitivity and resistance to cross-modulation.
– Audio Power: Provides 2.0 watts of clear audio output through its internal speaker or an external 8-ohm jack.
