General Notes

Note

he Icom IC-7100 is an all-mode desktop and mobile transceiver that covers the HF, VHF, and UHF amateur bands. It is distinguished by its unique separate control head, which features a large, slanted resistive touch-screen display for intuitive operation, even while wearing gloves. The IC-7100 integrates traditional analog performance with modern digital technology, specifically supporting D-STAR (Digital Smart Technology for Amateur Radio) for digital voice and data communication. Its core performance is driven by a high-performance 32-bit floating-point IF DSP, which provides features like digital IF filtering, twin passband tuning (PBT), and noise reduction across all bands. The radio's design consists of two main parts: a compact main RF unit and a remote-control head. The control head includes a built-in speaker and jacks for a microphone, CW key, and headphones. It also features a built-in SD card slot for saving personal settings, logging data, and recording voice communications. Specifications General – Frequency Coverage (USA Version): Receive: 0.030–199.999 MHz and 400.000–470.000 MHz.
