The ITC Model AR-2000 is a solid-state, dual-channel communications receiver produced by International Telecommunications Corp. (Torrance, California), advertised in mid-1974. It is unlikely that any of these units were sold.
Overview & Architecture
– Circuitry: Completely solid-state design using modular construction.
– Frequency Coverage: Covers all HF amateur bands from 160 meters through 10 meters in 1 MHz range increments.
– Dual-Channel Capability: Features two independent channels (designated "A" and "B"), allowing dual-receive, transceive-plus-receive, or split-frequency operation.
– Frequency Display: Includes a digital frequency readout.
Specifications
– Sensitivity: Rated at 0.15 µV for a 10 dB $(S+N)/N$ signal-to-noise ratio.
– Interference Rejection: Designed with exceptional immunity to strong-signal overload, offering blocking, intermodulation, adjacent-channel, and cross-modulation rejection performance.
– Selectivity & Filtering:
Uses a 16-pole filter yielding over 200 dB skirt selectivity with a standard 2.1 kHz bandwidth and a 1.4:1 shape factor.
Features an adjustable IF passband configurable down to within 100 Hz.
Includes adjustable Q and adjustable-frequency Peak and Notch filters.
– Matching Equipment: Designed to pair with the matching ITC AT-2000 transmitter, a 1W to 175W no-tune solid-state transmitter with built-in speech processing and VOX..
