Johnson’s 6 and 2 meter high-power amplifier was rated at 1200 watts PEP sideband and 700 watts AM in Class AB1. It ran 1000 watts CW input in Class C. The 6N2 Thunderbolt used a pair of 7034 tetrodes. Drive requirements were 5 watts in Class AB1 and 6 watts for Class C.
