The Viking I was a self-contained, tabletop CW and AM phone transmitter covering 160-10 meters. The 4032 final was modulated by P-P 807s and had 100 watts output on phone, 115 watts on CW. It had switch selectable positions for 10 crystals as well as a provision for VFO input.
A variation of the Viking 1 (240-101) appeared in an ad in QST, Mar 1952, p. 109. This variation made possible the option of using either the 829B or the 4D22 or 4D32.
