Note
The Kenwood AT-230 is an antenna tuner designed for use with Kenwood HF transceivers. It is a universal matching type tuner capable of matching 10 to 500 Ω unbalanced loads to a 50 Ω input impedance. The unit features a low-loss toroidal core that ensures low insertion loss and provides harmonic attenuation, which is effective in reducing TVI.
It was designed as a matching accessory for the TS-130S and the TS-830S transceiver.
Features
– Comprehensive Integration: Consists of an adjustable antenna coupler, a through-line RF wattmeter, an SWR meter, and a four-position antenna switch.
– Wide Band Coverage: Designed for use on all amateur bands between 1.8 MHz and 30 MHz.
– Multi-Output Antenna Switching: Includes four outputs: two for coaxial-fed antennas, one for a wire antenna (such as an inverted-L), and one dedicated for a dummy load.
– Dual-Range Wattmeter: The RF wattmeter features selectable 20W and 200W ranges.
– Advanced SWR Detection: Uses a toroidal core directional coupler for accurate SWR measurement.
– Bypass Capability: The "THROUGH" switch position allows antennas to be connected directly to the transceiver, bypassing the matching circuit while still allowing power and SWR measurement.
