The Kronotek RT-1 is an R.F.-actuated, carrier-triggered timer designed to prevent "time-outs" on amateur radio repeaters.
Hands-Free Operation: It operates automatically without requiring direct electrical connections to your rig, clocks to watch, or switches to throw, allowing the operator to concentrate on driving and the QSO.
How It Works
– Triggering & Timing: When you transmit, the transmitter's carrier signal triggers the unit, which times up to a pre-selected duration (preset between 0 and 3 minutes).
– Audible Alert: When the preset time limit is reached, the unit alerts the user with an audible tone.
– Instant Reset: If you drop your carrier before the timing interval completes, the timer resets instantly and is ready for the next transmission.
Technical Specifications
– Timing Range: Adjustable from 0 to 3 minutes in 5-second increments.
– Operating Voltage: 12–16 Volts DC.
– Accuracy: ±3% across an operating temperature range of +10°F to +120°F.
