Lafayette’s 2 meter mobile linear amplifier was for 12 VDC, negative-ground electrical systems. The amplifier tube was an Amperex DX296 twin tetrode. One watt drive produced 100 watts input. No external switching was required; the amplifier was activated by the exciter.
