HA-650 – $119.95
HA-144 – $189.95
The Lafayette HA-650 is a battery-operated, portable or fixed six-meter transceiver.
It features a diode-protected RF amplifier, Zener diode-stabilized oscillator, noise limiter, squelch-like AGC, and a spot switch for frequency location.
– Power Input: 2.5 watts input to the final stage.
– Architecture: 5 silicon transistors (Motorola driver and final both modulated).
– Modulation: Class B, 100% capability.
– Frequency Control: Utilizes 8 MHz crystals, featuring built-in sockets and a selector switch for up to 6 crystals.
– Antenna Output: 50 ohms nominal impedance.
– T-R Switching: Relay type.
– Frequency Range: 50–52 MHz.
– Architecture: Single conversion superheterodyne utilizing 5 silicon transistors.
– IF Stages: Two stages at 1650 kHz.
– Sensitivity: Better than 1 $\mu\text{V}$ for 10 dB $S/N$ ratio.
– Selectivity: 6 dB down at $\pm 3\text{ kHz}$, 40 dB down at 8 kHz.
– Image Rejection: 55 dB.
Power Requirements: 12 to 16 V DC. It accommodates eight D cell batteries, runs off a 12V vehicle battery using the included mobile mount and power cord, or operates via an optional AC adapter.
– Current Drain (Tx): 400 mA.
– Current Drain (Rx): 80 mA.
