Note

QST, Nov 1976, p. 132. QST, Jan 1977, p. 108. (ETO appears to have purchased the VOMAX) QST, May 1977, p. 143. QST, Mar 1980, p. 181. (name of the company appears to be VOMAX) Kit or assembled. Maxmilian Associates’ Vomax SBP-3 speech processor used a split-band technique. It increased talk power by 6–12 dB while providing a sharp cutoff of audio signals below 400 Hz and above 2400 Hz. The SBP-3 required a 10–16 VDC power source. For a time, Vomax speech processors were marketed by ETO. Additional models included the 3-C and 4-D. Also attributed to Ehrhorn Technological Operations (ETO, makers of the Alpha series of amplifiers. See QST, Jan 1977, p. 108.)
