Maxmilian Associates’ Vomax SBP-3 speech processor used a split-band technique. It increased talk power by 6–12 dB while providing a sharp cutoff of audio signals below 400 Hz and above 2400 Hz. The SBP-3 required a 10–16 VDC power source. For a time, Vomax speech processors were marketed by ETO. Additional models included the 3-C and 4-D.
