The 701 was McMurdo Silver's final venture in the radio business was the McMurdo Silver Co., located in Hartford, Connecticut. They manufactured a line of transmitters, receivers, and test equipment. The model 701 transmitter covered 3.5-54 MHz using plug-in coils. Its 6AQ5/807 circuit produced 75 watts input on CW and 30 watts on AM.
