Designed to boost weak signal reception and performance on frequencies from 10 to 30 MHz. Proper tuning of the preselector allows the user to reduce the receiver's internal gain control, decreasing cross-modulation and receiver overload while maintaining a strong signal-to-noise ratio.
Features
– Active Components: Uses a protected dual-gate MOSFET for extremely low noise and high strong-signal handling capability.
– Gain: Typically provides an increase in gain of 25 dB.
– Selectivity & Circuit Design: Features two high-Q double-tuned circuits to enhance weak signal reception while significantly reducing out-of-band signals and image interference.
– Controls: Utilizes separate Input and Output tuning controls to achieve maximum gain and selectivity, avoiding the tracking issues common to dual-gang capacitors.
