The model 482 Grandmaster keyer had 1024 bits of memory in four 25-character banks. They could be combined for one 50-character message and two 25-character messages. The 482 had weight and tone controls, along with a built-in monitor speaker. A 9 volt battery preserved memory when the keyer was disconnected from external power. A more elaborate 484 Grandmaster keyer offered greater memory capacity and other features.
