Note
The MFJ-867 measures peak or average forward and reflected power
as well as standing wave ratio. It is designed to operate on 144/220/440 MHz.
The unit has three power scales, which are selected with the front panel switch. The high power scale measures 0-400 Watts (multiply by 0.2) forward or reflected power. This odd multiplier was used because the same meter was also used in the MFJ-868, which actually measured to 2000 watts. MFJ chose to save a little money by not having to print a separate meter scale for the 867.
The mid power scale measures 0-200 Watts forward and reflected power. The low power scale measures 0-20 Watts forward and reflected power. A power saver circuit turns the meter on only when RF power is being measured.
The MFJ-867 utilizes a large illuminated 6.5-inch single-needle meter to read the SWR from 1:1 to ∞.
